Dr. Hu Young has several areas of specialty, including the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems in children and adolescents.
Dr. Hu Young received his medical degree from the University of Virginia Medical School in 1975. He later completed his residency in pediatrics at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Virginia and his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Iowa, where he developed expertise in managing conditions related to congenital cardiac defects and cardiac conditions in children and adolescents.
Dr. Hu Young has over 30 years of clinical experience. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Hu Young served as the Chair of Pediatrics at Qingdao United Family Hospital. He was also the administrative medical director of the Congenital Heart Center in the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, where he served as an expert in pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Hu Young is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also by the Sub-Board of Pediatric Cardiology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and also of the American College of Cardiology. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hu Young has been an invited lecturer at international conferences and has been widely published in medical journals, most recently in Pediatric Cardiology.
