Dr. Herda has several areas of specialty, including affective disorders like depression and bipolar disorder, psychoses, addictive disorders, dementia, anxiety disorders, somatoform disorders, borderline personality disorder.

Education:

Dr. Herda received his first degrees in Psychology and in Medicine from the University of Marburg, Germany, in 1992 and 1997, respectively. He was later awarded a medical degree in 1999 and a Doctorate degree in Psychology in 2003. Dr. Herda completed his residency in psychiatry and psychotherapy at Ludwig-Noll Hospital in Kassel in 2005.

Background:

Dr. Herda has over 20 years of clinical experience. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Herda served for more than 10 years at Eichhof Hospital in Lauterbach, Germany as the head of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.

Dr. Herda holds a certification as a Consultant & Medical Specialist for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Herda has published in prominent medical journals, including Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
