Dr. ZHANG is skilled in a wide range of first-aid resuscitation skills such as BLS, ACLS, ITLS, endotracheal intubation, and central venous catheterization. He is also proficient in various critical care diagnosis and treatment technologies such as critical ultrasound, PiCCO, non-invasive/invasive mechanical ventilation, CRRT, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, analgesia, and sedation for critical patients. He specializes in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis, various types of shock, multiple organ dysfunction such as ARDS, acute circulatory dysfunction, Acute Kidney Injury and other critical diseases.
Education:
Dr. Zhang received his bachelor’s degree in medicine in 2002 from Shanghai Second Military Medical University, and was awarded his master’s degree in medicine in 2013 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang completed his residency in internal medicine in Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in 2005. He followed with 3 years of fellowship as an ICU doctor before becoming an ICU attending physician in 2008, thereafter developing further expertise in managing conditions ranging from medical emergency resuscitation to critically ill diseases.
Background:
Dr. ZHANG has 20 years of clinical experience. Before joining United Family Healthcare Shanghai, Dr. Zhang successively served in Shanghai Xinhua Hospital and Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital for years as an ICU expert in treating critically ill patients.
Dr. Zhang is a qualified member of Chinese “5C” and he has received a Presidential Citation Award from the American SCCM for his outstanding contributions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zhang has contributed to multiple medical books, including Problems and Solutions of Blood Purification in Acute and Severe Diseases, and published several medical articles in journals as well. What’s more, he also devotes himself to the translation and promotion of international medical literature and guidelines.
