Dr. Qian is committed to the diagnosis and treatment of a number of diseases in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. In gynecology area, he is specialized in gynecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, vaginal gynecological surgery, all kinds of cervical diseases, and gynecological endocrine diseases. In Obstetrics area, he also specialized in cervical dysfunction before pregnancy laparoscopic cerclage and vaginal cerclage during pregnancy, extra peritoneal cesarean section and high-risk obstetric treatment.

Education:

Dr. Qian received his Bachelor （specialized in Germany）and Master’s Degree from School of Medicine, Tongji Medical University, Wuhan in 1986 and in 1992 respectively. Then between 1994 and 1998, he studied as a PhD candidate in Obstetrics and gynecology at VIRCHOW affiliated to CHARITE Medical School, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany and received his MD degree finally.

Background:

Dr. Qian has more than 36 years clinical experience, which includes 3 years of experience in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery and 33 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.

After graduation from Bachelor, he performed as a resident in the department of General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery in Jiangxi Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Jiangxi Medical College for three years. Then he was engaged in the clinical and teaching research in OBGYN since 1989. He has worked in the Department of OBGYN in Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical University for nearly 20 years, where he received his OBGYN theoretical and surgical skills systematically. After that, Dr Qian was engaged to Shanghai Talent Plan and worked in Shanghai Oriental Hospital then in Shanghai first maternity and infant Hospital as Chief Physician since 2000.

Dr Qian is a member of the 6th and 7th Session in Shanghai Professional Committee of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of Perinatal Medical Association. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Qian has published more than 20 papers and participated in the compilation of eight monographs. As the project leader, he has undertaken more than ten projects of National Natural Science Foundation, National Education Commission, National Ministry of Health and provincial and municipal projects.
