◆Dr. Ding specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases such as lung tumors, mediastinal tumors, esophageal tumors, chest wall tumors, tracheal tumors, and mesothelioma

◆He has profound expertise in the surgical management of complex and elderly patients with thoracic surgery conditions and actively advocates for multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment and minimally invasive surgical approaches for lung cancer, particularly emphasizing systematic mediastinal lymph node dissection during lung cancer surgery

◆Additionally,Dr. Ding has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of early-stage tumors, as well as surgical treatment following combined chemotherapy and radiation therapy for advanced-stage tumors. He is skilled in the application of thoracoscopy and mediastinoscopy for various chest diseases

Education Background:

◆Dr. Ding graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University (Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) in 1990, obtaining the Bachelor’s degree in Medicine. In the same year, under the guidance of Professor Zhou Yunzhong at Shanghai Chest Hospital, he began his clinical work in the field of thoracic surgery.

◆In 1997, Dr. Ding went to Yokohama City Minato Hospital in Japan for further training in thoracic surgery. In 2010, he obtained the Master’s degree in Medicine from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Ding currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Oncology Department at Shanghai Chest Hospital, and as the Chief Surgeon of Thoracic Surgery at the Shanghai Lung Tumor Clinical Medical Center

Working Experience:

◆Dr. Ding has been engaged in clinical work in the field of thoracic surgery for over thirty years, accumulating a wealth of diagnostic and treatment experience

◆In 2020, he was recognized as a “craftsman-type physician” by Shanghai Chest Hospital for his outstanding medical skills and professional contributions

Academic Achievement:

◆Dr. Ding has published over 10 professional papers and contributed to the writing of three specialized works on thoracic surgery. He has undertaken research projects funded by the Shanghai Health Bureau’s Youth Scientific Research Fund. ◆Additionally, he has participated in the Lung Cancer Research Project funded by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and has been the principal investigator for three provincial-level projects related to lung cancer
