Dr. HT Chow earned his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1996. He did post-graduate training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Tai Po Hospital, and North District Hospitals in Hong Kong. In 2007, he completed his spine fellowship at UCLA and the University of Chicago.
As an orthopedic surgeon specializing spine surgery, Dr. Chow performs both non-surgical and surgical treatment of neck and back pain as well as other problems. He performs diagnostic injections to identify the source of pain. Dr. Chow also employs the latest surgical techniques, including biacuplasty, minimally invasive decompressive surgery, cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement, minimally invasive anterior lumbar spine fusions, spinal dynamic stabilization, and spinal osteotomy for deformity correction.
Dr. Chow is active in teaching and research. He has been a trainer at the Hong Kong College of Orthopedic Surgeons since 2007 and conducts clinical research and studies in the field of spine surgery. Dr. Chow has delivered presentations at various local and regional medical meetings.
As an active member of the orthopedic and spine surgery community, Dr. Chow is a member of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association, a faculty member of AOSpine (2005 – Present), a council member of the Hong Kong Minimal Invasive Spinal Surgery Society (2014 – Present), and an international affiliated member of American the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Chow was a council member of Hong Kong Orthopedic Association’s Spine Chapter from 2012 – 2014.
Dr. Chow is a visiting consultant to Beijing United Family Hospital and Shanghai United Family Hospital.
