The UFH Reproductive Medicine Center strives to offer professional consultation and clinic services. Our reproductive medicine doctors have extensive clinical experience and are dedicated to providing infertility patients with one-on-one, integrated medical services in a compassionate and warm patient-centered setting.

Facilities

The UFH Reproductive Medicine Center is over 500 square meters, divided into clinical and laboratory areas. Our comfortable patient clinic encompasses a full-service infertility clinic with treatment rooms, ultrasound facilities, a private semen and IUI collection rooms and an intrauterine insemination (IUI) laboratory and operating room. We pride ourselves on the state-of-the-art reproductive medicine technologies located within our in vitro fertilization (IVF) and assisted conception laboratories. Their capabilities include egg collection, transplantation, embryo culture and freezing, and semen processing.

Specialists

Dr. Nancy Cai, MD PhD

Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Reproductive Medicine Center Director

Dr. Nancy Cai completed her medical degree at Xinjiang Medical University. Between 1998 and 2004, she spent almost two years as a visiting scholar at the Reproductive Medicine Research Institute of Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona (U.S.).

Dr. Cai has over 30 years of experience as an OBGYN and reproductive specialist. Since completing her residency in 1988, she has held the positions of Chief Attending Physician, Associate Professor and Clinical Instructor in the OBGYN Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University. Additionally, she has served as a professor at Xinjiang Medical University for over eight years, and as the Director of the UFH Reproductive Medicine Center since 2011.

Dr. Cai has published more than 30 professional articles. She is a member of the Chinese Medical Association’s Society of Reproductive Medicine and Genetics Society.

Dr. Masoud Afnan, MBBS FRCOG

Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics Chief Medical Officer, Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Fertility Specialist

Dr. Masoud Afnan graduated from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School at the University of London in England and has 30 years of professional experience as an obstetrician and gynecologist, having held clinical, academic, and administrative positions. Dr. Afnan has extensive experience in general obstetrics and gynecology, specializing in infertility and assisted conception. Dr. Afnan developed the assisted conception unit (ACU) at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital, which has enjoyed consistently above average pregnancy rates. He has chaired many committees and programs – including the training committee of the British Fertility Society – and he was the supervisor for an RCOG-accredited subspecialist training program in reproductive medicine.

He made numerous contributions to the British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG), the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), and the British Fertility Society.
