United Family Home Health (Shanghai) Completes its 200th Visit

On August 17, 2014, Miss Wang (not her real name) received her first postpartum home visit from her United Family Home Health team as part of her Postpartum Care package. She was experiencing breast-feeding pain, a problem solved by her home health team. This was United Family Home Health’s 200th visit in Shanghai since launching in January 2014.

United Family Healthcare has been advocating to breastfeeding for many years and proper breastfeeding technique is one of the key elements delivered to new mothers by home health service. The breastfeeding rate among UFHH clients remains above 95%. The home health team has treated various problems that occur in first month after delivery, including infants with neonatal jaundice or low birth weight, mothers with birth canal infection or breast engorgement, and so on. United Family Home Health’s Postpartum Care works to minimize postpartum complications and provide comfort and peace of mind for new mothers and their families.
