Dr. Xie specializes in pediatric orthopedic deformities, pediatric fractures and trauma, pediatric bone tumors and soft tissue tumors of the limbs, pediatric inflammatory joint diseases, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of spastic cerebral palsy in children.

Education:

Dr. Xie received his medical degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 1994, and was later awarded a medical Masters degree in 2011 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Xie completed his residency in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Ruijin Hospital in 1994, where he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from pediatric surgery to pediatric orthopedic surgery.

Background:

Dr. Xie has over 20 years of clinical practice experience. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital, he worked as the Chief Physician in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics at Shanghai Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Xie has served as a visiting professor in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics at Children’s Hospital Colorado, USA, and at pediatric hospitals and medical centers in the Seattle area. He is a mentor for Master’s students at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine,an expert in medical accidents in Shanghai, and a member of the Pediatric Orthopedics Working Group of the Chinese Medical Association.
